Your partner came out to you as trans.
You may be surprised, or not. You may be shocked, or not. You might feel like your world is crumbling. You might be relieved because things make more sense for you right now.
Whatever situation you are in, you likely have lots of questions, and that is to be expected.
It is okay to have questions, and, in fact, with significant life challenges, it is typical to have many.
While you may not have the answers, many people like you have had similar experiences.
You may have questions about your own identity, discovering new things about yourself, and renegotiating parts of yourself you never thought of before.
You may be unsure about how to navigate experiences related to rejection, stigma, and how and when to come out to others, and what that even entails.
You may know that your support is important to your transgender loved one, but you may not know what support looks like, and/or feel unsure about what to do to help in a way that is affirming and supportive.
You may feel overwhelmed and know you need support, but you may not seek it out or know how or where to find it.
